House Rules
- Smoking is prohibited in all areas aside from the garden. There will be a £250 fine for any evidence of smoking in your accommodation.
- Pets are not permitted on the property.
- We are not responsible for damage or loss of personal belongings including food and laundry, or vehicles parked in the car park.
- Any damages to the room will be charged to your credit card.
- A damages deposit of £250 for suites and £500 for the cottage will be required
- Guests use the facilities at their own risk and we are not responsible for personal injuries caused inside or outside the accommodation during the stay.
- Pakefield is a quiet residential area. Please respect our neighbours.
Other Conditions
ADVANCE PAYMENT
100% of payment is taken upon booking.
We accept most major credit and debit cards excluding American Express and Diner Cards. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise, we will not be able to process your booking, and a message will appear informing you of this.
The balance of your room rate is taken at booking and any other charges will be payable on departure from the hotel. Please note a pre-authorisation of a damages deposit will be taken from your card when you check in.
CANCELLATIONS
Should you cancel your booking; the following fees, refunds and charges apply.
- Within 24 hours (1 day) of checking in date 100% retained by the hotel.
- Between 24 hours and 72 hours (3 days), 50% retained by the hotel.
- Between 72 hours and 144 hours (6 days), 25% retained by the hotel.
- 7 days full notice prior to checking in qualifies for a full 100% refund.
TARIFFS
The tariffs, which include VAT, are subject to change without notice.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Your room will be available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11.00am. Failure to do so may result in a late departure fee of £20 per hour or part hour being charged. A late check-out can be requested via our Guest App and will be subject to availability and a cost of £20 per hour.
PETS
Pets are not permitted in the hotel except guide dogs and assistance dogs. If rooms are found to have had a pet in a £250 fine applies and will be charged.
CANCELLATION BY THE HOTEL
First Light Hotel shall have the right at any time (giving as much notice as possible to the guest) to cancel the reservation in the event the Hotel or any part thereof is closed due to circumstances outside its control, including (without limitation) by reason of fire; flooding; unavailability or interruption of water, fuel, light or any other power supplies; renovations or redecorations, mandatory or voluntary compliance with any direction, request or order of any person having or appearing to have authority (local or national); strikes; lock outs or other labour disputes or shortage of staff.
USE OF THE HOTEL
The customer shall comply with all licensing, health and safety, hygiene and all other regulations relating to the Hotel, as well not cause any physical damages to the premises. Any Hotel property taken will be charged to the credit/debit card upon or after departure. Persons checking into the hotel are responsible for their own evacuation in the case of fire, we also ask you to abide by the fire evacuation rules.
GENERAL
While the Hotel have taken all responsible steps to ensure that the information contained in on our website, advertising or promotional material is accurate, the same shall not be or be deemed to be a representation or warranty of the same.
The Hotel reserves the right to alter, substitute, suspend or withdraw any service facility or amenity at any time (with or without notice) and the Customer shall raise no objection in relation thereto.
If you park your car in our carpark, you do so at your own risk, and we do not accept liability for any damage. We also do not accept any liability for loss or personal belongings being left behind at the hotel.
